The hotel's location is excellent - just around the corner from the Botanical Gardens and within walking distance to the sea shore. It is also close to bus stops and very easy to catch a taxi from the main road. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel facilities were clean and spacious. The breakfast offered a wide range of options from around the world.

The construction site was very unpleasant. The noise kept us up at night which was a major inconvenience.

I had a great stay at the well-renovated City Hotel. The location was perfect, just around the corner from the Botanical Gardens and a short walk to the Zhongshan Road area. I loved exploring the alley nearby with its dumpy little restaurants serving delicious local food. The staff was friendly and the room was clean and spacious. We had an amazing stay at this luxurious hotel, where our exclusive amenities needs were truly fulfilled. The Spa & wellness centre, Sauna and Jacuzzi were outstanding, as well as the Garden area. The exceptional service provided by the friendly staff made us feel pampered and comfortable all the time. The Restaurant and Bar/ Lounge area were exquisite, with delicious and well-presented dishes and drinks.

The only minor issue we faced was the noise from nearby construction sites during daytime. However, this did not affect our experience much, as we were mostly out exploring the location advantages of the hotel, such as the nearby bus stop and Botanical Garden, as well as the easy access to the ferry harbour and Zhongshan Road area with plenty of shops and seafood restaurants.

Absolutely no privacy in the bathroom. The window in the bathroom is completely transparent with no option to close it or draw a curtain.
